Community West Community Building

This community centre was designed for an organisation supporting refugees as they learn English and settle into local life. It includes open-plan offices, flexible classrooms, a conference room, prayer room, kitchen, function space, and a sheltered internal courtyard.

Outdoor seating built into the façade invites connection with the wider community, and native materials and landscaping the building to its surroundings.

Delivered as a design-and-build project, it was completed on time and within budget.

In 2014, Sally Holdgate received a private award from the client in recognition of her contribution.
